Spinalonga Cruise

Don't take the tour offered to you by your local representative before studying the choice of cruises offered elsewhere.

1.The DIY cruise. Simply arrive at the harbour in Elounda and pay at the boat station. Cost about 9 euros per adult. Entrance to Spinalonga an extra 3 euros.

2.Book with V. Z. Travel in Elounda and enjoy a trip to Spinalonga accompanied by the knowledgeable Victor Zorbas. Basic cost is 12 euros including entrance to Spinalonga, but for an extra 5 euros you can take The Happy Train with Victor to Plaka, where the family lived in Victoria Hislop's novel "The Island". 3.Your local representative will package a day's trip with a coach to pick you up from your hotel in the morning, coach travel to Elounda, a cruise to Spinalonga, a BBQ on a nearby island, then return to your hotel by coach. A great day out if you wish to be escorted throughout the day. Cost around 35 euros.

Elounda is well served by local buses connecting with express bus services from all the resorts along the northern coast of Crete. If you plan to hire a car or scooter, Elounda lies just 8km from the Northern Highway at Agios Nikolaos.
